SOU 599000 Several views of Southern Autoguard Service three-unit articulated tri-level auto rack SOU 599000 outside the Roanoke Transportation Museum, including a closeup of the tri-fold end doors. Each of the three units rides on two single-axle trucks. This car is one of only two such units build by Greenville Steel Car in 1973. It was too large, and in the wrong spot, to get a single overview shot on 21 November 1998, but one of this exact car in revenue service appears on page 62 of the Morning Sun Books Southern Railway Color Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment by James Kinkaid.
