Georgia Power has two series of HBWX five bay rapid discharge aluminum open hoppers:
| HBWX Series | Built | Capacity | GRL |
|---|---|---|---|
| 96183-96392 | 1996 | 4065 cf | 286,000 |
| 99001-99625 | 1999 | 4418 cf | 286,000 |
These HBWX cars are usually seen mixed in with Georgia Power's HYWX Hoppers.
Georgia Power also has cars marked RWSX, for cars assigned to the Scherer plant, but they haul coal from the Powder River Basin, so they never show up in the Appalachian hills of VA/WV.
(Thanks to Kevin Brown to proving much of the above information.)
