Norfolk & Western HC71 Three Bay Covered Hoppers

The Fifteen hundred 4750cf class HC71 hoppers were built at Roanoke in two orders. Series 177000-178000 were built 1973-1974. Series 178001-178500 were built 1979-1980. The ORER description for these cars reads "Covered Hop., Stl., Hop. Trough Hatch Bottom, Gravity Discharges".
