Marion is the location of another passing siding, this one on a S-curve, as well as a base for local MofW crews. The former passenger station here has been renovated, and is used by local businesses, one of which is an architectural firm that is designing the O. Winston Link museum in Roanoke, VA. At the west end of the siding, there is a spur that is commonly used for MofW cars and equipment, and also a tipple track used by the local Southern States for off-loading feed. Marion was once the terminus of the Marion & Rye Valley, a logging line that went to Troutville, VA.
