Eggleston (East) PEMBROKE (West) Walker Creek
Pembroke is the start of a stretch of double track that extends to PV Junction beyond Ripplemead. The tracks emerge from the western/northern end of Pembroke Tunnel just before passing under Rocky Hollow Road.

The former Virginian Railway tracks of the Whitethorne district are directly across the river.

NS 8885
Horsehead logo D9-40C 8885 heads into Pembroke Tunnel with train 274 in May 2004. Built as a double-track tunnel, only one track remains today.

Train 048, the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey circus train, approaches the signals at Pembroke on its trip from Charleson, WV to Knowville, TN in April 2004.

This train was also photopraphed at Radford, Dublin and Max Meadows.

High Hood ex-Southern SD40-2 3299 leads a nine motor consist on empty hopper train train 821 in April 2004. Included in the consist was HLCX 9001, BNSF 993 and BNSF 5400.

On a gray winters day in February 2003, blue SD60M 6777 leads train 55T by the former station site after passing through Pembroke tunnel (out of sight to the right).
