Arthur is the location of a crossover and the requisite set of signals just
west of Shawsville.
Train 112 climbs the hill in September 2004 with a colorful mix of power, including two ex-Conrail SD60Ms, a Montana Rail Link SD45, an NS GP15-1,
an NREX ex-ATSF SD45-2, and a Union Pacific C40-8W.
Office Car Special train 951 climbs the hills above Arthur in the early morning mist on 11 September 2003. Clean and shiny SD70Ms 2617 and 2593 in horsehead paint lead office cars Claytor Lake, West Virginia, Alabama and 'theater-observation' car Buena Vista.
