   These pages document the amazing scenic beauty to be seen along the tracks of Norfolk Southern in and around the New River Valley. The prime focus is on the Christiansburg and Whitethorne Districts between Roanoke and Bluefield, with some coverage of the Pulaski District from Radford toward Bristol.

This web site is a cooperative effort of Joe Shaw and Robb Fisher, hopefully with support from other contributing railfans.

ATCS Monitoring kits (Layout and MCP files) for use with the ATCS Monitor application:
New River DistrictsCovers the Christiansburg, Whitethorne and east end of the Pulaski District.
Pulaski DistrictsCovers the entire Pulaski District.
Winston-Salem DistrictsCovers the southern portion of the Winston-Salem District (Martinsville to Walktertown).
Knoxville District East EndCovers the east end of the Knoxville District of the Central Divsion, including the Appalachia District, Bristol Line, the Leadvale Cutoff and the northern end of the River Line to Asheville.
3rd District CNOTPCovers the 3rd District of the CNOTP from Oakdale south most of the way to Chattanooga. From Tenbridge south into Chattanooga is not yet covered.
